Bill Lochhead
Owner/General Manager/Head Coach
Bill joined the GMHL in 2020 with the idea of an expansion team in the GTA. The Flyers found their home in the heart of Mississauga: Streetsville, ON, right before the Covid-19 pandemic, delaying their first season. Bill uses his extensive hockey knowledge to create a competitive, safe and respectful hockey environment out of the Vic Johnston Arena.
Bill is from Peterborough, where he played minor hockey for the Peterborough Nationals and Peterborough Petes. At 16 he signed a contract with the Peterborough Liftlock Stars of the OJHL. He finished that season with the Lakefield Chiefs Junior C organization. He took a few years off before attending Humber College, where he played for the Men’s Hockey team for four years, becoming the captain in his final season. During his time at Humber he also coached the Women’s Hockey team for three years. His leadership experience can be portrayed through his off-ice decision making for the Flyers.
Brianne Miceli
Manager, Hockey Operations
Bri was recruited by the Flyers after volunteering her time to attend all GMHL meetings that revolved around bringing the team into the league. She first took the role of Recruiter with the Flyers, and later was promoted to Manager of Hockey Operations in the summer of 2021. Bri handles the team sponsorships and partnerships, schedule, events, marketing, and player safety. With her background of Sport Business Management and Recreation Therapy, she uses her knowledge and experience to give the team an administrative edge, as well as keep everyone up to date on industry changes.
Bri played competitive-level hockey for 18 years, finishing her career at Humber College as Athlete of the Year award winner. She graduated from Brock University in 2019, and Humber College in 2020. She is originally from Bolton, ON.
Nico Fekete
Assistant/Goalie Coach
Nico has been part of the Flyers staff right from the get. As a former player in the GMHL he always wanted to stay involved in hockey and when presented with this opportunity he was happy to jump on board. His commitment to the team is unquestioned and is a bit of a swiss army knife for the team in doing a little bit of everything.
Nico played his minor hockey in Streetsville before transitioning to AAA. He attended Humber college where he was the teams starting goalie for his one year at the school. He comes to the Flyers with plenty of experience playing in the GMHL and also in the OJHL. Nico is originally from Mississauga.
